Eskom Learner Plant Operator Learnership 2026 is now open at Camden Power Station. Eskom is recruiting 15 learners for Plant Operator training at its Mpumalanga power stations.
About Eskom Learnership Programme
Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is South Africa's largest electricity supplier. This Learnership is for youth who want a career in power plant operations, maintenance, and engineering. You will be trained under qualified mentors and gain NQF qualification.
Duration of Learnership
- Duration: 18 Months Full-Time
- Location: Camden Power Station, Ermelo, Mpumalanga - with possible placement at other Eskom stations
- Start Date: January 2026
Stipend / Salary
- Monthly Stipend: R4,500 - R6,000 per month depending on phase
- Free accommodation for learners from far areas
- Free PPE, meals on duty, and technical training
- Certificate of completion and possible absorption
Qualifications and Requirements
- South African citizen, age 18-35 years
- Grade 12 / Matric with minimum 50% Mathematics, 50% Physical Science, 40% English
- Must be unemployed and have no criminal record
- Must be able to work shifts, heights, and in a plant environment
- Engineering or technical interest is an advantage
