NSFAS allowance for October 2026 will be paid from 05 October 2026. If you are a UNIVEN, TUT, UJ, UL or TVET student funded by NSFAS, this guide shows you how to check your payment date, balance and status fast on Campus Linc.
NSFAS October 2026 Payment Dates
According to NSFAS, allowances will be disbursed as follows:
- University students: 05 - 07 October 2026
- TVET Colleges: 10 October 2026
- Accommodation: Paid directly to landlord / res
- Book allowance: R5,200 once-off already paid in February
How to Check NSFAS Allowance Balance on Campus Linc
1. Login to Campus Linc
2. Go to Bursaries > NSFAS Status
3. Click "Check My NSFAS Balance"
4. Enter your ID number. Your October 2026 allowance will show.
Why Your NSFAS Might Be Delayed?
Common reasons:
- You did not upload your bank details on myNSFAS portal
- Your academic results not yet submitted by UNIVEN / TUT
- NSFAS wallet is blocked - dial *120*176# to unblock
How Much Will You Get in Octtober 2026?
University students: R1,650 living + R304 personal care
TVET students: R1,100 transport + R3,045 accommodation
Distance / UNISA: R1,200 book + R3,045 incidential
