Standard Bank Learnership 2026: Banking Career for Youth is officially open. Standard Bank invites unemployed South African youth to apply for its 12-month Banking and Financial Services Learnership programme at Rosebank and nationwide branches.
About Standard Bank Learnership 2026
This learnership is part of Standard Bank's Youth Development Initiative aimed at reducing unemployment. Learners will gain practical banking experience while studying towards a registered NQF Level 4 qualification in Banking. You will work with professional bankers, learn customer service, financial products, and compliance.
Duration of Learnership
- Duration: 12 Months Fixed-Term Contract
- Location: 30 Baker Street, Rosebank, Johannesburg 2196 and other provinces (Gauteng, Western Cape, KZN, Eastern Cape)
- Start Date: February 2026
Stipend / Salary Details
- Monthly Stipend: R7,500 per month (Tax Free)
- Free NQF Level 4 Qualification - Banking
- Medical aid contribution and lunch allowance
- High chance of permanent employment after completion

Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen aged 18-30 years
- Grade 12 / Matric with minimum 50% in English and 50% in Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy
- Must be unemployed and not currently studying full-time
- Must have a clear criminal and credit record
- Computer literate (MS Office) and good communication skills
- Able to work in a team and under pressure
